Michelle Wilson

Dr. Michelle Wilson grew up in Sarasota, Florida where she graduated from Pine View School. She went on to graduate from Rollins College before earning her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She then completed her internship and post doctoral fellowship at New Connections Academy, where she specialized in the treatment of children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and comorbid mood and anxiety disorders. She has experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and consulting within academic and medical settings in order to provide the highest standard of care. Dr. Wilson sees clients of all ages, specializing in anxiety and mood disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults.
Dr. Wilson founded Suncoast Psychology in 2020, providing in person therapy and assessment services to the Sarasota area and virtual therapy throughout the United States. Her treatment approach utilizes evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapies and mindfulness-based interventions. Her therapeutic approach is creative and dynamic, utilizing humor, genuineness and acceptance to establish strong therapeutic relationships and change.

Services
We provide evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults coping with emotional, social, and behavioral concerns. We specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, habit reversal training, and social skills training.
We also provide gifted evaluations consisting of an intellectual assessment and an achievement assessment.
Out of Network
This means that we do not bill your insurance directly. Upon request, we will provide you with a monthly billing statement that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out of network reimbursement. Please contact your insurance to see your out of network benefits for the following billing codes: 90791, 90832, 90834, 90837, and 90899.
